Catawba County Schools issued the following announcement on January 28.
Please join us in congratulating our 2022 District Spelling Bee Champion, Christopher B., a sixth grader at Sherrills Ford Elementary School. This is Christopher’s second attempt at winning the district bee, and he won this year’s event by correctly spelling “wharf” after 18 rounds of competition. Connor D., a sixth grader at Snow Creek Elementary was first runner up.
Christopher will be representing Catawba County Schools in the Regional Spelling Bee, sponsored by the Carolina Panthers, at Bank of America Stadium on March 13.
The 2022 district spelling bee included 21 participants from our elementary and middle schools. We are proud of our participants…they are all winners!
