Rep. Setzer files bill in North Carolina House to revise chiropractic licensure requirements

A new bill filed by State Rep. Mitchell S. Setzer in the North Carolina House seeks to update educational and certification requirements for chiropractors in the state, according to the North Carolina State House.

The bill, filed as HB 702 on April 2 during the 2025 regular session, was formally listed with the short title: ‘Chiropractic Education Changes.’

In essence, the bill modifies the educational requirements for chiropractic licensure in North Carolina by mandating that applicants must graduate from an accredited chiropractic college program and complete 4,200 hours of chiropractic education.
