Race City Steel, the largest supplier for NASCAR, has created a new way to stay afloat after the major sport pressed pause due to COVID-19.
Race City Steel is now selling sneeze guards for $125, the Lincoln Times-News reported in April about the Denver-based company.
“I think these will help protect our people," Race City Steel owner Damon Lusk told the publication. "Not only because of this coronavirus, but they’ll help in the regular flu season too. I’ll probably leave mine up all year round. They don’t look like they’re separating the public from the staff, it’s just like a section in between. We’re taking every precaution we can to keep our people safe.”
It’s proven to be a need as they sold out of thousands shortly after announcing the new product.
And Lusk said it’s only the beginning as they’re brainstorming new devices that could serve residents.
