TOWN OF DAVISON: Davidson Businesses Continue to Give Back

B

Town of Davidson issued the following announcement on Sept. 24.

Davidson Businesses Continue to Give Back

While COVID-19 restrictions have taken a toll on local businesses everywhere, several in the Town of Davidson have really stepped up to continue to care for and give back to their community, and we want to say, "thanks!"

Ben & Jerry's

Ben & Jerry's continues its long-standing partnership with the American Red Cross and recently hosted a 'Give a Pint, Get a Pint' blood drive.

Davidson Ice House

Davidson Ice House, owned and run by chef Jenny Brulé (pictured), recognized early on that there would be a need to provide children's lunches during the remote school day. The Ice House now offers a daily healthy kid's lunch so that families have one less things to worry about. Thanks, Ice House!

Mine by Sandy

Women's boutique Mine by Sandy provided Heathcare Appreciation Giveaways as a way to thank COVID-19 frontline workers. In addition, they donated a portion of purchases to Bags of Hope.

Our Towns Cinemas

Our Towns Cinemas has unfortunately been closed for months but has still found ways to support Davidson. They have hosted blood drives and collected donations for the Ada Jenkins Center throughout the summer. Incredible!

Summit Coffee

Summit Coffee has implemented Give Back Fridays, donating a portion of their sales to organizations such as E2D, Hope Vibes, and Dig Deep, to name a few.

Way to go, Davidson Businesses!

Thanks to these businesses for their tremendous support to the Davidson community during this unprecedented time. We know there are many more examples of selflessness going on behind the scenes, and we thank those business owners, employees, and residents alike, too!

We ask all of our residents to support our amazing local businesses as we know they are a huge part of what makes Davidson the town we love. Many of those mentioned above will be participating in this weekend's Sidewalk Sale, September 25, 26, and 27. Grab your wallet and your mask and come out for a great shopping trip!
