City of Claremont issued the following announcement on August 27.
The public shall hereby take notice that on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 6:30 pm, the Claremont City Council will conduct a public hearing to consider Rezoning Case 21-01 at the Claremont City Hall, 3288 E Main Street.
Rezoning Case 21-01 requests rezoning for 81+ acres on 5 properties bordering Heart Drive from the current zone of Light Manufacturing District (M-1) to Heavy Manufacturing (M-2). These properties are also identified by the following Catawba County Parcel Identification numbers: 375107774573, 375107780612, 375107781690, 375107599083 and 375107791022. The petition was submitted by Jeffrey Matlock, registered agent for MPD 1, LLC owner of 1 of the 5 properties with written consent by all other property owners, Timothy Ryan Herman, Wesley Scott Herman Heirs and J Mar Investments.
