Lincoln County issued the following announcement on October 22.
On Friday, October 22, 2021 at 7:45 a.m. Lincoln County Public Works had a sewer spill at 7922 Webbs Road in Denver NC. Approximately 1,200 gallons of raw sewage spilled onto the ground surface only.
Public Works personnel stopped the sewage leak at 9:47 a.m. and repairs were completed at approximately 2:00 p.m. Please be mindful of any traffic delays in the area. The Mooresville Regional Office of NC DEQ has been notified. No waterway, stream or lakes were impacted by the ground surface sewer spill.
