N-CCS Board Votes to Continue Optional Face Coverings

Newton-Conover City Schools issued the following announcement on January 10.

At this evening's board meeting, the N-CCS board voted 4-2 to affirm the optional face covering approach for students, staff, and visitors. This will be monitored/revisited in an ongoing manner but at a minimum will be considered by the board again in February at the regular board meeting. Face coverings will continue to be required on all bus transportation. See updated COVID protocols at the following links:

Also, see this link to a blanket exposure letter to families from Catawba County Public Health. Going forward, students will not receive individual exposure letters. Communication will come directly from public health but families are asked to review the letter and monitor their student(s) health accordingly.
