Adopt-A-Cop

Police handcuffs(1000)

Today Maiden Police celebrated with the close of their 9th year of Adopt-A-Cop. Adopt-A-Cop is an annual event where Maiden Officers “Adopt” a second-grade class from Maiden Elementary. Officers throughout the school year visit their classes and get to know their students. At the conclusion of the school year Maiden Police hosts an Adopt-A-Cop celebration. Today’s celebration consisted of a DJ, pizza party, bounce houses, foam pit, and touch-a-truck event. MPD would like to thank Maiden Elementary for allowing us to continue this program and would like to specifically thank second grade teachers Mrs. Edmisten, Mrs. Gibson, Mrs. Burgin, and Ms. Abernathy. We’d also like to thank all of our sponsors and agencies that made today’s celebration a success.
