Denver-based Industrials company Air T Inc. (AIRT:NMQ) sees value fall 90% in week ending Sept. 3

Value in Industrials stocks fell 4.4 percent in the week ending Sept. 3 from the previous week.

The strongest performing Industrials company in North Carolina was Sealed Air Corp. (SEE:NYQ), sitting 8,036.3 percent higher to sell at $52.86.

Air T Inc. (AIRT:NMQ) fared the worst among North Carolina companies, suffering a 90 percent drop to $18.

Among Denver companies, Air T Inc. (AIRT:NMQ) saw the biggest fall in value of 90 percent in the week ending Sept. 3.

The Utilities sector was the week’s best-performing sector on the market. The market is divided into 11 different sectors.

Basic Materials was the worst-performing sector.

Healthcare and technology stocks are viewed as the safest bets for long-term gains.

Besty Kuekcer with Benzinga.com said healthcare-related stocks, such as hospital conglomerates and insurance companies, have weathered numerous economic crises and still make a profit, suggesting that they are generally a stable investment.

While technology stocks can be more risky, given the boom-bust nature of new tech companies, Kuecker recommended a diverse portfolio of tech companies to strike it big when companies succeed or sell to other larger companies.

For short-term investments, Kuecker recommended “consumer discretionary” stocks, which are sensitive to economic changes but can rise greatly on the back of a strong economy.
