Join the Paint Like Paul Challenge! Participants are challenged to paint like Paul Whitener, founder of Hickory Museum of Art. Paul had a methodical approach utilizing geometry, test palettes, and color theory in his paintings. Pick up your packet with Paul’s notes from HMA’s office between Tuesday, January 3 and Friday, January 6. Paint at home and return it to the museum by Friday, February 3, 2023. Artwork will be on view in the Entrance Gallery and voted on by HMA’s visitors for a People’s Choice Award. A final winner will be chosen by a family member of Paul Whitener.
