Appalachian State University issued the following announcement on November 22.
"This scholarship has allowed me to focus on graduating and on my classes. This year, I do not have to work two jobs while taking maximum credit hours in order to afford college. I have been exposed to many opportunities and have been able to network with some amazing professionals in the industry as a direct result of receiving this scholarship."
"A key takeaway that I've had from being a sustainable technology major and sustainable business minor is that sustainability doesn't just mean renewable energy and your job title may not have the word "sustainability" in it. Instead, sustainability is how you think and something that you can incorporate and advocate for in everything that you do, no matter the industry."
