School of Nursing Combines Outreach, Experiential Learning with Community Service

Clarkston, GA is home to a large community of international refugees. The new residents come with hopes for a better life and basic human needs.

Five WCU nursing students, one faculty member, and two alumni have been assisting Great Faith Vision, a national Christian mission group, in operating a pop-up medical clinic for the refugees, which for the time being will offer free vision care for young and old.
